Well, turns out I missed the weekend cocktail. I did another candy painting, but it will have to wait. Do you like Mojitos? Yum. That mint...lime...
I believe they are best when more than one of you has one. This particular time a good friend and I were in a French Restaurant, no less, in Bristol, RI. This was the drink special, and it was really, really a good choice. I believe we had one each... but I could be wrong.
Today I had a blissful day hanging out at the studio with Paco. My husband showed up later in the day, and then a friend and her husband stopped by - good company! Sometimes.... I just love my life...:)

I love your economy of brushstroke and the way you made this work with and the two glasses side by side. Those drinks look luscious.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a mojito but these sure look good! Beautiful job on painting the liquid, Kelley.
ReplyDeletePerfect glass ellipses and know those Mojito's only because my son-in-law taught me how to make one as I offered to have one for him when he got home from work while I was visiting. The green and red are super!
ReplyDeleteI love this one!
ReplyDeleteThese are fun! They look very tasty!
ReplyDeleteI love Mojito's!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! :0)
Up close in person this is a fabulous painting. Would make anyone happy. I hope it ends up in a good home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great painting! Your use of the complementary color scheme really makes this pop. I think I may need a couple of these yummy looking mojitos when this challenge ends :)
ReplyDeleteYum!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you painted these, Kelley! The ice is especially good and very cold looking.
ReplyDeleteReally love this one. The strokes you put on the drinks are just the right amount. The repeating of the verticals lines is cool, I especially like the stripes in your background, good call Kelley. We, painters have to make so many decision. Lot's of good decisions on this one. Congrats on the sale.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully crisp and always interesting!
ReplyDeleteKelley, I love this painting. It's so good in so many ways--the color, the light, the brushstrokes, the composition. I just love it!
