The Challenge. You know, no one ever said it had to be a painted painting, right? So today, after wiping off a perfectly awful and boring rendition of a martini, I came home and took my iPad and made this. Actually, it's the martini I painted poorly at the studio, only from memory, and with a little verve. I love that word, "verve"~
I was kind of still in recovery mode today after nursing my pup through the night on Friday, and thank you all who wrote - he's on the mend with a bland diet and rest. I had fun today after my failed painting, with a friend who drove down from Boston. We laughed, and she brought Paco two Christmas presents (which, BTW, he loves, loves, loves to unwrap presents - he really 'gets' the gift idea!) and had lunch, and then even dinner together. And so I settled in on the couch, with the iPad on top of Paco, who is ever in my lap, and this came out of it. So 'cheers' - to painting, to friendship and to puggie love! Another pug tomorrow!
And yesterday I posted my 1,000th post! YAY! Quietly, and without fanfare... just plodding away. It's been great, and there's no stopping me now!

I love this, Kelley. The colors are so pleasing, and the little red pimento...oh my! Beautiful painting. And congratulations on your 1,000th post!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Paco is feeling better. I really this this rendering on the iPad. It looks very inviting.....
ReplyDeleteMartini is very well done and it sounds like you had a great day yesterday.

Wow - 1000 posts? That's amazing!
ReplyDeleteI think the 30 day challenge is such a wonderful idea.
For me, time just wouldn't have allowed it, so I'm doing the 75 day sketch challenge instead, between my usual painting time.
The way I see it, even if it was a wiper - you still painted a painting, so you haven't failed! And then you still did this one too! :0)
Who knew I Pad paintings could be such fun!?? Sometimes I wish I could actually paint like that! So glad Paco is on the mend. Nothing sadder than a sick pup!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Kelley..1000 paintings! Love the Ipad piece...Glad Paco is on the mend
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have known this was a computer generated painting unless you'd told me, Kelley. Nicely done! And I do so love green olives. So very glad Paco Is feeling better.
