Lemon And Aqua, 6x6 Oil

Here is one of my water glasses that I love, and a lemon. I bought a piece of shiny clear plastic from Walmart and put it over a neutral piece of fabric. That's what's up with the wavy reflections. I liked the way the colors bounced around, too. I enlisted my son (he's 6'4") to help hang some paintings in the studio today (to get them off the floor), and we spent a very productive hour together - I'll post a photo in my Studio blog tomorrow.

  1. Hey is that glass from Mexico? Also, I like the effect of the plastic and reflections. Nice.

  2. Really, really, really, really, really NICE! All that practice is paying off! This one is a total winner. The shapes in the glass are right on and the lemon is totally correct. I love it! nice color harmonies.

PS if this comment shows up twice, it's something to do with word verification, duh.

  8. Great job--all the different textures (wall, lemon skin, smooth glass) are very well done and look great together.

  10. Kelley, I really love this one! The soft background and the lovely glass and lemon work perfectly! You did a wonderful job on the glass, always a difficult subject and the lemon looks luscious. Thanks for the tip about the plastic, what a great idea for reflections!

  12. Thanks, Debbie and Jala - I appreciate your comments! Carol and Manon - I love glass, but am actually terrified of it till I actually start and get in the 'zone' - I will not permit fear while I'm painting!
