More Playing...

Providence, 5x7

Oh, I don't know how these watercolorists do it.  I USED to know, but the knowledge fell out of my head!  Today I spent a couple of hours in the studio working on my BIG Waterfire painting (in oil), then I took Tim, his Mom, sister Patti and our son Conor to lunch at the Providence Art Club.  We had a lot of laughs, and a very nice meal.
So you know I'm kind of officially taking the week 'off'.  But the minute I think I will be separated from my paints, that's the exact moment I NEED to paint.  My kids gave me a wonderful gift certificate to Utrecht, and I'm having visions of sugarplums (canvases, boards, paints, brushes, oh MY!) all day long!

  1. Une grande profondeur dans cette peinture... Et une belle nuance de bleu.
Je vous souhaite un moment excellent avec vos nouveaux jouets artistiques!...
    Gros bisous

  2. You still got it, Kelley, trust me! I like your version of sugarplums!!

  3. I think you still know- this is lovely. Very soft and beautiful colors:) Sounds like you had a fun day and now need to head to Utrecht and stock up for the new year!!

  4. What a great present from your kids ... I'm drooling, just thinking about your gift certificate! (I just got a new shipment of Gessobords and oil paints ... oh, the joy!)

  5. Lovely...soft and etherial looking. Now to shop! What a treat! Can't wait to see what ELSE you have to show...

  6. I am enjoying your dabbling in watercolor. A totally different bird. Beautiful color and as Maria said, "very etherial".
It is hard to stay away from something you love so much. Painting is a part of you. Enjoy your family and.....Happy 2012!!

  7. I'm really enjoying these watercolors...your doing a marvelous job! Great atmosphere in this one!

  8. It's a pity you don't have a donate button! I'd most certainly donate to this
superb blog! I guess for now i'll settle for
bookmarking and adding your RSS feed to my Google account.
I look forward to new updates and will share this site with my Facebook group.
