$100 & $10 S&HThis is a town I used to live in. Every year there's a carnival that comes to town and sets up across the peninsula that is the town. From high on a hill you can see all the lights, and the wonderful turquoise lights (my favorite) of the ferris wheel, and its reflection in the shallow part of the beach. I love it. I could gaze for hours at those lights!
Did you have beautiful weather this weekend? We did - and we enjoyed every minute of it!
We are hanging the Girls Just Wanna Paint show this week at the Duxbury Library, stop by if you can. our Opening isn't for another couple of weeks - I'll keep you posted. I'd love to introduce you to my GJWP friends! We also have two new members, Pam Copeman and Jody Regan, and we look forward to painting and hanging with them!
Il n'est pas simple de peindre une toile "nocturne"... Le challenge est parfaitement bien réussi.ReplyDelete
Beautiful and alluring nocturne, inviting the viewer down from the hill.ReplyDelete
And, looking forward to GJWP challenges and adventures! Thanks.
A beautiful night scene, Kelly. I've never been to a carnival on the water, but I sure remember the excitement of the carnival from when I was young.ReplyDelete
I love how loose and juicy this is. Did you use a black toned board for this? Fun!ReplyDelete
Wow!! Love this painting! Such wonderful darkness with those gorgeous lights shining through! Love everything about this one- you hit it out of the park Kelley!!ReplyDelete
so loose and free...I love it. the ferris wheel really tells the story...great reflections.ReplyDelete
Night paintings are hard - the glowing lights on this came out perfect. What town is this?ReplyDelete
It's Hull, sweetie. And a BEAR to photograph! When the camera let me capture the darks, the lights were toned down. :( It looks better IRL. Thank you!Delete
Beautiful and the reflections are perfectly painted. Love the ferris wheel.ReplyDelete
