I love Dahlia's. OK, I used to not like them, my husband reminds me. I think I used to walk around with blinders on, oblivious to the amazing things around me. Anyway I liked the orange and green play here. I tried to keep the brushstrokes loose (harder than it sounds) and not get carried away with the glass. I hope we have another couple of weeks before our big frost - heating bills aside, as I love these late blooming flowers.
This is very nice. Great composition and wonderful complimentary color.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I love the glass and reflections. Great choice of colors too.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started my scribbling, I started opening my eyes that what was around me. I've since closed them again, ha!
But every once in awhile I'll be blown away but something that just pops out at me.
Oooo, Kelley, I LOVE this! the colors fairly dance ... the orange against that lovely turquoise background ... aahhh! And I'm a big fan of your cropping choices - they add so much visual interest.
ReplyDeleteI think it's true of a lot of us that the more art we create, the more we see paintings everywhere! I'm glad you saw this one!
