I'm giving away a painting from this week! That would include the Valentine Pop, the Baby Steps, the Fortune and the Gold Rimmed Teacup! Help me celebrate my 500th post this week by- commenting on my blog under the painting you'd like, and
- sending me an email, with the painting you'd like, and your EMAIL address so I can notify the winner.
My friend Sally Dean gave me this cup, and she has a matching one, that she'll paint and post on her blog, too! Painting shimmering gold is so hard, but I do love a challenge. I think this is not the last you'll see of this cup. My new subscriber system will hopefully be chosen soon, I'll let you know the status of that!
beautiful painting! the tea looks so realistic and delicious! love the little tag!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, Love the teacup painting. I am a morning tea drinker so this looks good to me.
ReplyDeleteHello Kelley, you are so right, gold is very difficult, but I 'd say this was very well done, looks like you had no problems. Beautiful soft blue background, as well. Congratulations on your 500th post!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful teacup, Kelley. It fits well with the teapots I have been painting this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Myra! Jo Ann - I have your email, and it is in the 'giveaway' folder! Thank you Angela, you are very kind. Every time I do gold or even yellow in shadow I hold my breath! Carol - I saw that on Facebook - and I thought "Great Minds...." :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500th post. wow!
ReplyDeleteI love this teacup, and I have a cup of red rose every afternoon. Please put my hat in the ring for this one!

Beautiful, Kelley! Love the cup, the colors of the gold, cream, rusty red and blue together. Great crop too. You are such a good painter! The gold on the cup glimmers and I can even see the tea bag down at the bottom of the cup, all of this while being wonderfully loose and painterly.
ReplyDeleteKelley, I love this one, the gold, and the elipses of the cup and saucer are really well done. You are billiant at all of the challenging aspects of painting! Gorgeous painting!
ReplyDeleteThis is totally AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work!! I love tea!! Your teacup looks so great! Congrats on the 500th post!!! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteYou rock this cup! Way better than mine! I tried to paint the teabag and to me it looks like a butt!
ReplyDeleteLOL
oooh oooh i like this one!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this one. Almost as much as the Russian Teacup which I fully intend to buy if I ever have the extra money (and if it's still availble of course).
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful. I'll let others know about this giveaway.
I love the tea cup. The gold is beautifully done and the tea looks just about ready to drink, not too hot! I am in the middle of painting a stack of white teapots and the next in the series very will could be a cuppa. Put my name in the pot for this one, please and thanks.
ReplyDeleteKelley!
ReplyDeleteThe yellows are great in this and that red tea looks good enough to drink!
