Three LIttle Kisses, 6x6 Inches, Oil

SOLD

This painting is on display at that very cool shop in Dedham for the Holiday Season.  622 High Street.  Better than the mall, for sure, although I do love Legacy Place.  Every year I paint little kisses.  I love the challenge of the foil reflections!  And, if you have read my blog  awhile, you know I love to paint the words "Kisses" on the little papers.  It's the little things in life that 'make it', you know? ;D

I hope you are all enjoying this pre-holiday time as I am.  I love the lights, the glitter, the Hope, the Anticipation...

Three Little Kisses, 5x5

$75 + $10 P&H - Happy Holidays
Oh, sometimes I just can't STOP myself! The colors on this trio were so intriguing. And I love the challenge of foil. The 'white' is white, for sure, in real life, but it also has yellow and a bit of pink in it. Doesn't show up in a photo no matter what I do.

And I got some wonderful news - My painting of "Blueberries" won an Honorable Mention at the Maryland Federation of Art's "Small Wonders" show!

I'm planning a Holiday Giveaway next week. Stay tuned!

Sweet Time Of Year, Oil 6x6

Sweet Time Of Year, 6x6
$100 + $10 S&H via Paypal

Very glare-y, will repost when it is drier! This goes into the category of "What Was I Thinking?" ONE hershey kiss is hard enough to do - try a dozen, seen through glass..... I probably won't have a post tomorrow, because I'm giving a talk today on "My Life As An Artist" - scary, huh? I'm carting two huge bins plus 2 display easels and 2 outsized paintings to do it.. and I should have left already, only I still need to shower! I'm just going to take this afternoon to breathe, and maybe get my house in a little order... This painting is the last one for the DeBlois Gallery, showing in December.

A Little Kiss, Oil 3x3

A tiny Daily Painting to start the week! A dear friend gave me a mug on which was printed paintings she had done that featured the color red (her favorite color), and it was filled with cherry hershey kisses (Oh, HELP me!). I am making good progress on my larger pieces, which are all 30x30 or 30x40, and have skies as subjects. I'll post the first truly finished one on the Studio Blog.
This little kiss is $45, email me for info.

Holiday Kiss, 6x6 Oil

This is $100 through Paypal - just email me if interested.
I had a terrible time photographing this. The green is prettier in person. The background is darker, too - but the glare was impossible to get rid of! I know I'll be sorry I bought a bag of these things - but I need them for my Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies - next week is 'Cookie Week' where I drop everything and make something like 38 dozen cookies to give as gifts. Today I strung some colored lights in my studio, but I still have to dig out the Christmas music (I'm the sort of person who has to be told in Feb. "It's annoying everyone else to listen to Christmas music in February...") and I try to keep it to December, but next thing I know it's months later. When we split our time between Hull and Tiverton, during the hour car ride my cat Isabelle would only settle down if I had Vince Gill's Christmas CD on (I played it for her till May) - yeah, I know, Vince Gill? But we did experiments and she cried with any other CD.

OK - just a reminder - FRIDAY's POST will be FREE to the first subscriber who emails me!
