Onion Parade, 12x6, Oil

These little onions are beautiful and full of muted colors. Not sure, once again, if it's really finished, but it's what I did today!

Dog Show Pug, Oil on Canvas, 4x4

This was done a few weeks ago, but I'm testing out my 'subscription' group to see if it works. Snowy day, haven't been able to paint yet, heading to the studio (should take about TWO HOURS!), but this was part of a series done from sketches at the Boston dog show in December - all small dogs. I ADORE pugs, too!

Salt 'N Peppa, Acrylic 6x6

These salt & pepper shakers are favorites of mine, though it's so damp here we have to change the salt every time we use them I love the green glass.

The Last Two Sparrows, 6x6 Acrylic on Bristol Board

Not really the LAST two sparrows, but in terms of the daily paintings. I'll continue to work on these birds, hopefully nailing the shapes and loosening up a bit, but I think I'll move on in terms of subject matter. It's funny, people either love or hate birds. Some folks are a bit superstitious. I'm just fascinated by them. Then again, I'm fascinated by a LOT of things...

Tulipmania, 6x6 Acrylic

These tulips are amazing. I had to paint them before Harry (the kitten) ate them ALL. I spent today painting plein air in Bristol with oils, it was so free and easy to swish these flowers on with acrylics.

Wrong Way! Oil on Canvas, 6x12

Little hot peppers were irresistable at the grocery store. I love the colors and shapes.

5 a.m. Can't Sleep, Must Paint, 6x12 Acrylic

Getting a little more comfortable with the glass, although it could just be lack of sleep! Mom's wineglasses. Can't wait for the coffeshop across the street to OPEN!

Let's Get Into Some Wine, 5x7 Oil on Canvas

Thought I'd try some glass, to work with some nice reflective surfaces, so here's one in oil from the studio. No, I didn't imbibe, just painted!

Mom's Coffeepot, 5x7 Oil on canvas

The reflections were a challenge. There's me in my yellow painting smock right in the middle of the pot!
Really Bad Photo!

With A Nod To Duane Keiser, Acrylic 6x6

Duane is the big kahuna of Daily Painters, starting the whole thing a few years ago. He recently did some eggs, and Mary Sheehan Winn did some last week or so, so I was thinking of these two, but decided to make things tougher by laying the little glass bowl on a red towel. What was I thinking?

Little Sparrows, 6x12 Acrylic on Canvas

Watching birds is something I love to do (and the cats love to 'help' me). I think they each have such unique personalities, if we take the time to observe them.

Is It Yellow Enough? Acrylic on Canvas 6x6

Yup, I got a new palette knife and I was afraid to USE it because it is so pretty!

Berries On A Plate, Acrylic 4x6

This is just to prove that great minds think alike! My buddy Mary Sheehan Winn put a painting of 3 strawberries on a plate today - I had done this a week or so ago - now she's like a thousand miles away, and we didn't talk about doing a 3 strawberry painting, but if you follow the link on the right to her blog - there it is!

Catnap, 16x20 oil

It's Isabelle's 'day in the sun', as this painting was finally finished last week. She loves my daughter's yellow quilt.. it makes her sle-e-epy...
This is not a Daily Painting, but just an example of what you'd find on my Studio Blog: http://welcometomyartworld.blogspot.com.

Isabelle On The Lookout

This 12x12 painting is not a daily painting, but it got into the Duxbury Art Association's Winter Juried show, which runs through the month of Febrary. I tried for about 7 years to get in this show and finally got in with this painting. My two daily paintings done this weekend we do-overs, lipstick and makeup themed - maybe I should just stick to food!

The Secret Of Happiness.. 6x6 acrylic

SOLD
This is a cheat... I tried two paintings yesterday and tossed them both out! This is from the weekend, on a day when I did two, actually. I am one of those people who get all excited about a 'good' fortune, and save them!
