Happy Guy, 6x6 Oil Painting of a Seagull by Kelley MacDonald

$100 & $10 S&H

The skies are blue, the wind is calm, he's just cracked a nice big clam and has a full belly.  Things are good for this seagull!  He survived Hurricane Sandy, and has no idea a new storm is coming our way.  Lives in the moment, he does.  Maybe it's a better way... worry wears us out, and rarely prevents the stuff we fear from arriving, anyway.
I'm going to take a page from his book, and try, just for today... to put the worry away.

Here's last night's show:

Birthday Gull, 6x6 Inches, Oil Painting of Sea Gull

SOLD
The title of this one is a bit tongue-in-cheek, as it was the FINAL birthday celebration today!   I came back to the studio and found a photo of this seagull grooming itself.  I'd love to paint a seagull from life, but they never stay still long enough!  It was impossible to photograph this painting without the bits of glare on the dark gray feathers, which appear like speckles in the photo.

*March 30 Workshop Full*
I still have openings in the 3-day Workshop, April 25, 26, 27 9-4

Gull At The Beach, 6x6 Inches, Oil

SOLD
This painting was pure joy to paint!  I painted on a black background, I used gridding to make sure the proportions of the gull were accurate.  I used more than my usual limited palette, to enhance the gorgeous color of the water in the background.  In other words, I had FUN!
A note about the 'surprise' I'm working on - I wiped it off twice - TWICE - today!  Not going to be defeated but will continue till it is good.. and will show you then..
