Ruby colored snapdragons - I love them! But trying to paint them with JUST quinacridone red is very tough. All my other red oils are at the studio and I am trying to paint at home today. So this may get wiped off at the end of the day!
Don't wipe it out. I love it and I like the juicy paint look. I would love to put you on my blog and would love to have you put me on yours. I am just very excited about meeting all you artists because I have been blogging alone and that's no fun.
I agree with Jeanne, the snaps look juicy! Don't paint over! They are such a deep red, very mysterious, and I really dig the composition! I'm waiting for my deep red snapdragons to open, so this is a treat! Lisa B.
Oh Kelley...I love this! Please don't wipe it! The subtle reds are gorgeous. They are just the right hue for Snapdragons. Who needs other reds? I like the interest that the horizontal bands add and the crosshatch of color in the vase is so beautiful.
Looks good to me. I have some of those in my garden also.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome to me!
ReplyDeleteWine and tunes at my studio sounds great.... come on over! : )
