Ruby colored snapdragons - I love them! But trying to paint them with JUST quinacridone red is very tough. All my other red oils are at the studio and I am trying to paint at home today. So this may get wiped off at the end of the day!
Paintings of every little thing, and all the important big things as well. My view. My inspiration.....

Looks good to me. I have some of those in my garden also.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome to me!
ReplyDeleteWine and tunes at my studio sounds great.... come on over! : )
Don't wipe it out. I love it and I like the juicy paint look. I would love to put you on my blog and would love to have you put me on yours. I am just very excited about meeting all you artists because I have been blogging alone and that's no fun.
ReplyDeleteNo no...no wipe off! By the way...that glass vase rocks!
ReplyDeleteDon't wipe it! I love the juiciness of the painting.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jeanne, the snaps look juicy! Don't paint over! They are such a deep red, very mysterious, and I really dig the composition! I'm waiting for my deep red snapdragons to open, so this is a treat!

YIKES! Don't wipe it off - it is a gorgeous painting with wonderful brushwork and a great composition!
ReplyDeleteOh Kelley...I love this! Please don't wipe it! The subtle reds are gorgeous. They are just the right hue for Snapdragons. Who needs other reds? I like the interest that the horizontal bands add and the crosshatch of color in the vase is so beautiful.
