The Last Of The Sunflowers, 6x6 Original Oil Painting by Kelley MacDonald

SOLD

I just love sunflowers, and these are the last from my garden.  Not that I planted them, but last year I had a bird feeder along my fence.  This year my fence was lined with sunflowers!  Trying to keep it loose, but think I need more practice at that.  Yeah.  That and relaxing!

  4. This is a beautiful painting. The dark background is so dramatic against the yellow of the flowers. Love the way the light falls across the table. Loose and lovely!

  11. Your rendering of the flowers and the water in the glass vase is just lovely. Everyone seems to be posting "last" flower paintings. It's depressing! I will SO miss the warm weather!

  12. Hi Kelley
"Last Flowers" just means nature is begining to rest and get ready for next year's "First" flowers.
    This is beautiful!!

  13. Absolutely gorgeous brushwork, Kelley! Love the treatment of the water and vase. The purple, blue and maroon highlights are the perfect compliments with those glorious yellows.
