This was done last night on location in Provincetown, where I am holed up this week working on a commission. Each 6x6 panel can stand on it's own, but I think they look good all together.
I'm feeling incredibly inspired here. I really think Ptown is one of those spiritually key places, like Sedona.
I will share with you the 3rd study I did today - all in one color, as it is a value study as well as a compositional study. I have decided to hunt down or make my own canvas. I originally offered a 24x48 because they want the 48 inch height. But upon seeing the scene they want - I decided to find something wider, to include the boats to the right and a bit of the breakwater to the left...
Love the triptych Kelley! Romantic moonlight.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right - they can stand on their own, yet lovely as a set.
Wow Kelley-
ReplyDeleteThis IS inspired!
I see the forces are with you. Love the tryptich.
Beautiful and very inspiring. Can't wait to see the finished commission. Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Your tryptich is lovely as a group and each one by itself.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are feeling so inspired there. Looks like you are being very productive too. Love the little tryptich, each piece could stand on it's own. Can't wait to see the final commission piece when it is done.
ReplyDeleteNice job..definately hunt down the larger canvas! Love to see your process.
ReplyDeleteLove the tryptich and it looks like you are off to a fanastic start on the commission. I'll be looking for the finished piece by...Sat? Good luck.
ReplyDeleteKelley, I love these! All the them, the three 6X6's, and the blue monotone! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKelley, lucky you to be in Provincetown...was there years ago and it is an incredible place. I love the tryptich. Excellent idea!
