8x8 inchesToday, my final day in Provincetown, I FINALLY relaxed. I did a few work ups for my commission (although I still have a couple of potential changes), then I shook everything off, went to the patio at the beach, and painted something that I loved: this view. I felt this painting fall off the brush. I kind of hope it doesn't sell before I get a chance to work it up... BIG. It was a magical week, and I'm so thrilled to have been given this opportunity - uh, oh... I think this place is getting under my skin... I may have to come here again!
I'm so glad you've had a renewing time, Kelley. This is a lovely piece in its simplicity and quiet. I think doing it again in larger format will only increase its impact.
ReplyDeleteKelley, this one is a knockout! I sure hope you do it big.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth! I'm gonna give it a try!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous view!! And beautiful big sky! I'd love to put some of your big sky paintings in our AAB Sept art challenge album. Please, please! Pam sent me several too. So glad you had a magical week. It shows.
ReplyDeleteKelley, Wow! I love this! It is terrific! You really hit the jackpot! What a feeling of peace, and serenity. Your painting says it all! I want to be there! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis piece just jumped right out at me. The simplicity, calmness, sort of complements, all of it. !!
ReplyDeleteKelley...what a fabulous piece. Please do it BIG, it will just be fantastic. So jealous of your time you had there...ah well! Safe travels home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully, serene painting. I also hope you try a larger version.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pam...this painting caught my attention right away. The subtle brushstrokes in the sand are beautiful and senuous.
