This is an older painting that sold to a dear friend, but I've been pretty swamped getting ready for the Carol Marine Workshop I'm hosting at my studio. I studied with Carol in September of 2008 (It was also memorable because it was the first week the news covered the implosion of the economy), and I was blown away by this serious, friendly, generous, extremely talented young woman, who took a room full of artists of varying degrees of experience, and showed them a thing or two or three! We all parted as friends, and all felt enriched.
I have just had a cancellation - and am trying to fill that one slot - are you interested? It's Sept. 8,9 and 10 at my studio in Warren, RI. Email me if you want for info!!
Kelley, Wonderful painting! I love it! Best wishes for a terrific CM workshop! Wish that I could take that one opening! Darn!
ReplyDeleteLove this little tomato painting. The paint is so juicy - especially of the background, which makes the little darlings POP! Have a blast. Tell Carol hello.
ReplyDeleteCool way of sculpting your initials. cool painting too.
ReplyDeleteJealous of your workshop. Sounds like so much fun. Have loved her work and personality for years. Good luck with all.
I can't wait! Nice 'mates friend!
ReplyDeleteKelley...delightful tomatoes..wish I could swing by and fill that empty spot...would be a real treat...but the west coast is a bit too far from the east coast...why is that?
ReplyDeleteLOVE this composition and the way you've cropped it! And that luscious, thick paint. Yum! The color of the tomatoes is perfect (been having trouble with that myself).
ReplyDeleteWish I could attend this workshop. I know it's going to be fantastic! Carol is not only an incredible Artist and teacher, but one of the sweetest, most down to earth people I know. Have a great time!
Looking forward to the workshop!
ReplyDeleteLove the rich colors in these little tomatoes...beautifully painted as usual.
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could go to that!!
