I loved living in Hull, MA. The sky is like a light show come sunset. It is a magical peninsula, where you can see the ever changing light on the oceanside AND the bay side. And there are many evenings when the pink of the sunset sky reflects on the wet sand of the sea side. Pink, orange, pink - oh, it just SENDS me! And the little glittering lights going through the town - to me it looks like a diamond necklace, laying on the ground... You should go there... see this....p.s. THREE squirrels were removed from my studio this weekend Uncountable props broken. Explains the lack of paintings from the past week, no?
Une peinture qui me plaît beaucoup... Je suis certaine que ce lieu est magnifique...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
Sp dreamy , and pretty! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the twinkle of lights in this, Kelley. It does indeed look a magical place.
ReplyDeleteNice post and really nice painting:-)
ReplyDeleteOh Hull...I want to go there. Your painting and your description "like a diamond necklace, laying on the ground...are the perfect invitation.
ReplyDeleteAs for the squirrels in you studio Kell, the only good one in the studio is "vincent van squirrel" one who can pick up a paintbrush and paint. Think such squirrel paintings could go for millions in a New York gallery. If elephants can paint why not squirrels, no?
those pesky squirrels!
ReplyDeleteI love the little Hull piece.
I wouldn't mind getting a summer place there ( ya right)
This painting is soooo beautiful. Sorry about the critters in your studio. Just the cleanup alone is time consuming and then I KNOW you lost some great props. Give Paco a hug for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great subject! And I love the reflected lights on the sand. Would love to see this in a bigger format!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the sky and shoreline colors. The reflections are spot on. Beautiful piece.
ReplyDeleteThink you will be painting any squirrels?
Looks serene... Think of that when the squirrels pop into your head : ) Beautiful handling of that water Kelley!
ReplyDeleteAny similarity to a diamond necklace is always a good thing-especially if combined with sand, sea, and a glowing pink sky! Very nice painting, Kelley
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Hull. Beautiful painting and I love your loving description. Sorry about the squirrel attack.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Kelley...Making me feel homesick. Hull is cool and you have captured it beautifully
ReplyDeletebeautifully done, LOVE the colors. sorry about the intruders. little beasts!
ReplyDeleteI think we need a road trip with everyone- you have inspired us all with this beautiful painting of Hull! Gorgeous colors! And, no squirrels allowed- only Paco...and our new puppy! haha!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got all in order... This painting is sooo lovely and your feelings about Hull come across brilliantly. My Dear Mother had a squirrel problem --the solution included a plank and a bucket of water, (oh the horror!) But they are no more.
ReplyDeleteAwesome painting.Nice colors use in painting. The beauty of a canvas oil painting depends upon the quality of oil paint used.
