After a couple of days of a truce in the Donut War, I am bringing out the Big Guns. TWO jellies, with a Medium Iced Coffee - regular cream and sugar. Take THAT, Susan Roden! (I know she's just going to come back with MORE ooey gooeey chocolate ones!)
Two donuts and a coffee is a #1 Combo at DD's. You didn't know that? This thing has got to end soon because I've 'friended' Dunkin Donuts on Facebook, and have joined some kind of CLUB where they send me coupons - YIKES! OK.... it's scary to me that the EASIST part of the painting now is the clear red jelly. What is that saying about me? Too many jellies! I'm taking a couple of days for a mini vacation, but hope to have another post on Sunday - my husband has an idea for me to do a painting at the Sunapee Arts Festival - but I don't know about that!

ooohhh - got me! And with my pants down ... er... okey, with my mouth open.
ReplyDeleteAnd where's my donut for the day?
I ate it :) (see I'm smiling!)...
I absolutely love your donut paintings! The sugar, the gooey jelly...yum! They really make my mouth water when see them...keep on with the war!
ReplyDeleteI love the floppy lopsidedness of the top one....As you know I have been a fan of painting donuts for a while (painting or eating?) and I always love yours. I think maybe I will paint one soon as my first post baby attempt. Oh but donuts are bad for post baby belly....I could always paint a salad!!! Uh yeah.....Not quite the same!
ReplyDeleteAnother absolutely incredibly painted donut! And, the jelly is so well done! (Again)
ReplyDeleteThe two jellies with the cup of joe has put you over the top, such a wonderful combo. I'm like Katie I like the floppy lopsidedness of the top donut.
ReplyDeleteYou are a master at jellies. Yum. Have a great few days.
ReplyDeletewow Kelley! Great composition! Just love the arrangement today! Excellent!
ReplyDeletethis is quite an amazing painting. the values in the cup-who knew a styrofoam up could be so lovely-and the character of the doughnuts just coming toward you all so tempting like, not to mention the sprinkled sugar on top. impressive
ReplyDeleteThis one definitely is your bonus round! Love how the dark blue background makes your beautifully painted jellies seem like I could just pick one up and munch on it. Better post on the DD page - they'll eat it up too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like double happiness!

Another knock out, Kelley. I love that you were able to suggest the Dunkin Donuts logo without fleshing out every detail, nice job!!
ReplyDeleteOh this painting made me want to get in my car and drive to a sweet shop and BUY. Your paintings are very nice.
ReplyDeleteThis might be my favorite of all your donut paintings Kelley...I think Dunkin Donuts needs this for marketing purposes!

ReplyDeleteDD needs this painting. I'll take the coffee and I guess if the donuts come with it, I'll make the sacrifice and take them too. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteagain....QUEEN of the donuts ;)
ReplyDeleteReally good values.
A day late, but a dollar short for I have 5 donuts! (see that? five - bam, bam, bam, bam, bam!)
ReplyDeleteGotcha you Kelley!
You'd better call a truce to the donut war soon. I think I gained five pounds just looking at this one!
ReplyDeleteNice work!
Kelly, Your work is delicious. Love your painting from the dock too. You could hear the wish of the oars.
ReplyDeleteOh, Kelley...What are you doing to me with these delectable donuts??? Love this painting! I'd love to join your donut war but am afraid I'll eat them before I finish painting them...
ReplyDeleteI am out the door and on my way to Dunkin Donuts. Yummy yummy painting!
ReplyDeleteI am not gaining any weight from watching you two in this donut painting joust but I just might succumb to diabetes...or at the very least a visit to my dentist sooner than I'd planned:-) How can one root for one over the other? You're both great!
ReplyDeleteKelley!
ReplyDeleteRemind me never to visit your blog in the early morning before I've eaten breakfast!
Another great donut painting from you!
These two stacked jellies look delectable as does that rich, dark blue background!

Your skill with oozing jelly blows me away... and why am I always hungry after I stop by your blog? ( ;
ReplyDeleteHow DO you get that jelly and those donuts to look SO real. I thought Susan was sneaking ahead in the wars with her arsenal of five, but now that I see this...I'm not so sure.
ReplyDeleteYour painted donuts look more appetizing than real donuts. How is that possible? Love that spot of glowing light in the jelly. Delicious!
ReplyDeleteI can taste the sugar on my lips, I can't look at that painting anymore, I want a donut in fact two would be lovely, they are so real, to real for me lol.
ReplyDeleteWho needs a sugar fix when they can get it daily with the great DoNut War! I have to admit I love sweets, but have totally gone cold turkey on eating sugar. This is all the sugar I need. Keep them coming. And when I decide to break my sugar fast, I'll buy the juiciest jelly donut I can find (maybe a stack of them) and paint them, then gobble them down!
ReplyDeleteYUMMY! I wish I could paint like this, this is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteJoan
How did I get here searching for a Dunkin Donuts #1 combo? Google, you fail me.
ReplyDeleteNice painting.
P.S. yes I'm aware that the search term exists in the text, but c'mon, google really thinks I want a painting of this right now?
