Double Tree, 6x8 oil, plein air

Another small painting from the farm.  Later in the day.  More interesting in person.  Thank God I finally have a good computer to upload & post with!  Here's to lessons learned... thanks for your patience, guys!  I'll be surfing around this weekend seeing what I've missed from all my favorite blogs!   Pin It

  5. Hi Kelley ... I really like this tree ... the red peeking through from under the green ... lots of color energy there!

Congratulations on the new, new computer, AND being accepted into the Portsmouth Art Guild show ... cool!

(Can't wait to see the photo you take of it!)

  7. This tree is beautiful. I envy you doing plein air. Fall is almost upon us so I am hoping to do some outdoor painting. I feel very encouraged when I see your wonderful tree. Jeannerelin

  8. This jpeg doesn't do justice to the energy, tension & lightness of the original!

Mary Sheehan Winn did a really beautiful version as well, although I wasn't lucky enough to see that one in person.

  9. Really great, Kelley! It's fun to see the different interpretations and responses to color of the setting.
