Sorry For The Interruption of Service

I've been a little preoccupied this week with our new addition... He doesn't have a name yet, but we're working on it! I'll be on 'pupternity leave' for a few days till life settles down, but already I'm chomping at the bit to get back to painting! The couple of days before he arrived I TRIED to paint, and it was so awful I couldn't post them. Even the DAY I picked him up I thought I could get 2 plein air sessions in, and Paula and Ros were so kind not to LAUGH at my attempt, then I just gave up and sat in the sun and talked the afternoon away! It's been like a whirlwind since he arrived, and I do not have the kind of house where you can block off a room when you need to do other things (like go to the grocery store or shower), it's been... an adjustment. But I know we'll figure it out and he'll be great. Even the cats have decided not to kill him.... yet. ;)

Here are some possible names for your new pup, Kelley:

    "Samson"
    "Fred"
    "Hoover"

I know....I'm not good with pet names!

  4. Wow congrads on the precious puppy! We have two small dogs and they are my painting buddies. Look up crate training. We always can resort to putting our smaller busier dog in her crate for safekeeping and for a needed break when I cannot supervise or watch her close enough. Crates, when used intelligently and humanely are actually a type of "den" for the dog, and caters to a natural dog need for a safe haven. Your dog is sooooooooo cute.

  5. Oh good...we've been wondering about the cats!!!! And by the way...I liked your painting from the other day...you just need to finish it! That was a great point of view you had of those cottages and it is clearly beach cottages! I can see that you've had a little bit (or a little pug) on your mind! I LOVE these pictures! He looks so content!

  6. I love your new addition. My niece has a pug same coloring. She named him Yoa Ming. I thought it very odd until I met the pup. He fits his name perfectly. Pugs are very regal. What ever name you choose he will grow into it with time. Good luck.

  7. Hi Kelly,
This is my first visit to your site and I love your work! You have such a rich, loose style. I'll definitely be back for more.

  9. Kelley, he is a puggy ball of cuteness! What is his personality like? congratulations on joining the ranks of the pugnuts! we welcome you with open paws. Howard Pee Pugpants has a training manual he wants to send you, but I highly recommend you not show it to the baby, and hide it somewhere way up high.
