Two! Two Posts In One!

SOLD
Apologies for no post on Monday's painting - it is coming. I painted with my friend Franny and left the painting with her without taking the photo. So it's coming. Today I painted Marachino (sp?) Cherries, and I couldn't decide which way to go with them. I actually painted 3 6x6's today, but wiped one off and painted the 'cherries in a row'. I couldn't decide which way I wanted to paint the 3 last cherries in the jar, so I did them on a plate and then without the plate. Pin It

  3. Kelley, Really nice contrast between the two paintings, on the plate, and off. I really like the touches of red on the white plate...it sure looks like the juice from the cherries!

  4. Hi Kelley, thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. I have enjoyed wandering through your blog; you have a nice loose style that I really like. Your pussycats are particularly appealing.

  5. I do love both paintings! Cherries are my absolutely favorite fruit.... I ate a pound once in one sitting! Your cherries rock!

  6. The second one works for me too! Would it be too nerdy to say I love the perspective on the cherry on the right???? Nice.

  7. These are great! The first looks like more of a modern painting to me, and the second more "realistic." Both great.

  8. Of the two cherry paintings, the bottom one is the strongest IMHO.
