Brrrrrr...Pug! 6x6 Inch Oil Painting by Kelley MacDonald

SOLD
This is my Paco, last year on a walk in the snow.  Now... don't be all "Shouldn't he have a jacket?  Shouldn't he have little Pug boots?"  because I've spent a LOT of money, even having a custom made coat made for him, and he'll have none of it!  He does like a quick walk if the wind is damp and cold and howling, but as long as he gets a good snuggle when he comes in, (and he does) he's happier au natural!

I painted this, then had fun flinging the big 'flakes' of snow.  The texture was fun ;)

  2. You got the cold blue light perfect!
But is this a day 19 or 20 posting? I'm so confused!

  4. Oh I do love how you've handled the snow; you've beautifully captured the feel of cold too. I have a small terrier mix and while he will wear a coat, he chews them up so he is between coats now. He freezes his little butt off out there. Speaking of butts, nice shot of Paco! LOL

  5. Great snow painting! And you nailed Paco's cute little butt! (I'm proud of him that he won't wear a coat! He's got enough moxie to keep him warm!)

  9. What an adorable little pug butt! Love this! (I wanted to let you know that I tried to link to your blog from Leslie's page, but kept getting an error message saying your blog was not found. Since I am following your blog, I linked from my blog roll and was immediately directed here. Problem definitely seems to be link on Leslie's blog)

  12. Kelley, I LOVE this! I can really feel the cold, and I don't know how you did it, but there's also the feeling of a cup of hot tea and a cozy crackling fire waiting at home to warm his little feet by. Great snow!
