This painting is on display at that very cool shop in Dedham for the Holiday Season. 622 High Street. Better than the mall, for sure, although I do love Legacy Place. Every year I paint little kisses. I love the challenge of the foil reflections! And, if you have read my blog awhile, you know I love to paint the words "Kisses" on the little papers. It's the little things in life that 'make it', you know? ;D
I hope you are all enjoying this pre-holiday time as I am. I love the lights, the glitter, the Hope, the Anticipation...
A fabulous piece that stands on its own but that background just raises the bar. Gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteNice one, Kelley! I really like the composition and the dark background. You really nailed those foil reflections and even the soft paper look of the "Kisses" papers. I totally agree with you on how much fun this time of year is... so much beauty everywhere.
ReplyDeleteLove these kisses! They are so fun. The brush strokes are so loose and free. What a great holiday tradition.
ReplyDeleteYou're right - the reflective foil makes a wonderful subject. Great little painting!
ReplyDeleteGreat painting, Kelley!! Love that you paint the word kisses on the papers, so sweet:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on that foil! Love the way the shiny colors reflect each other. The navy background is the perfect contrast. Excellent work as usual!
ReplyDeleteGreat painting Kelley! Nice loose brushwork.
ReplyDeleteAnd as Italian I love the red, white and green of the kisses. The holiday colors always remind me of our flag! ;)
