Waterlily, 6x6 Inches, Oil

$100 & $10 S&H
This water lily is among my favorite images.  I took the photo on a trip to San Juan Capistrano Mission where they have gorgeous fountains will lilies and koi.  Anyway, one time I was fiddling around with this image, and my husband walked up to me, and seeing the photo upside down he urged me to take a peek.  Here it is, below:
Now maybe I'm just seeing angels everywhere, but it looks angelic to me!  I wish you could see the painting in person, the whites have beautiful colors in them!
*Angels To You!*

  1. Beautiful and peaceful. Can see that the whites are gorgeous against the blue even from the photo. And love that Tim showed you an angel!

  2. What a way to start the day--viewing one of your beautiful paintings. I love it. The subject matter is one of my favorites--see Alice Schille's painting of Water Lillies. She was one fantastic artist and so are you.

  3. i love the muted tones. I find water lilies to be one of the hardest things! You have made a lovely abstraction and yes- quite angelic!

  4. Kelley very lovely. As the water lily often grows out of dark muddy water, it for many cultures is symbolic of rebirth or overcoming hard times, so no wonder your painting is angelic!

  6. So cool, Kelley! Beautiful water lily painting to begin with, and then from a different perspective to see the angel (I love the shadow of the angel on the "earth" beneath on the upside-down painting). So cool!

  8. Kelley, I love it, the big shapes, the simplicity! This almost looks Asian to me, once again so serene, and contemplative! Beautiful!
