This painting is reserved for a very good friend, who said she wanted it but may have forgotten about it... :)
I'll hold on to it for her. It's been a Three Martini YEAR! :)
Time is flying so fast, but there's more and more to do and see and experience... I'm very, very grateful for my life and everyone in it. I have been blessed with wonderful family and friends, both near and far. So, yes, this is a painting from a while ago, but it spoke to my mood, more than the wipers I've been producing. Someone told me that when you are frustrated with your paintings you are at the cusp of something new.
Let's hope it's something both new and wonderful!
Your paintings are delicious Kelley. OK, now I'm thirsty. I like this - "when you are frustrated with your paintings you are at the cusp of something new". It would get pretty boring if we were always satisfied with our work, wouldn't it. Probably would mean we were in a rut and not growing.
ReplyDeleteMajor WOW! Love this- floating olives, reflections in all the best places and the glass itself is just blingy and so fun. Wonderful painting. Whoever she is, she is very lucky indeed!!
ReplyDeletebeautiful... the wine glass looks like real...
ReplyDeleteWow Kelley!! Though I am not a martini drinker, at least not that kind, I could become one. This looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteReady for that first sip! Beautiful, Kelley. I'm glad that things are going so well for you. Can't wait to see what this wiping time will produce.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the martini painting!colors, reflection, "wetness"
ReplyDeleteThe olives and their reflections are so nice. Great job on this. Good luck with your painting this week!
ReplyDeleteWonderful painting of the martini!
ReplyDeleteYes, you can count on something great on the way-Julia Cameron calls it being in "the chop" and the frustration simply means you are moving to a higher level of creativity. Enjoy the ride!
SPECTACULAR!!!
ReplyDeleteVery striking and refreshing!! Its fabulous. Look forward to seeing what's is to be revealed soon.

ReplyDeleteLove this painting and love martinis with lots of olives. (Vodka or Gin?)
ReplyDeleteI always say that painting is a love/hate relationship. When people say how much they love every minute of the process, they can't be working very hard!!
Good luck with the new!
Love everything about this! Great glass, reflections, strong background color. Cheers to friends!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful olives you have my dear. Nicely done. The colors are dramatic and the glass is fabulous. I will stay tuned right here to see what the something new is. You always come up with such wonderful things and you will again.
ReplyDeletePerfectly done1
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to slip into frustration but just breathe ;)
This is just stunning, a classic Kelley painting! Your usual perfect glass, highlights and reflections. I love it! Excited to see what will soon be revealed! You are right, frustration is only a stepping stone to something new, and better, however it's hard to imagine being better than this one!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love!! Classic Kelley goodness here!
