Birdie #2, Oil 6x6
Today I gave this little bird another try. It's funny, but it's like figure drawing, you have to keep doing it to be ABLE to do it! And I love the shapes of birds. So I think this one's a little better, but I don't think I'm 'there' yet!
Kelley, Your birds are great! You paint them very well. I especially love the birds on the header of your blog. I think today's painting is an improvement over yesterday! Both are really nice. I guess practice makes perfect!
There is something about these birds that really POPS - I don't know if it's all the movement the brush strokes in the background create or the way you have molded their shape, but I feel like I could put it in my hand. and that kinda-seventies (and ok, kinda-spooky, i admit) wood tones and orange is really hip right now - Abby would love it!
